How We Keep Every Stage On Track 


Most renovation and construction projects run smoothly when everyone is working from the same information — the same budget, the same brief, the same design intent, at every handoff between design, approvals, and construction. 


Each stage below is built to keep that information aligned, so your project moves forward on time, on budget, and true to the design you approved. 

  • The Brief

    Every project begins with gaining a clear understanding of how the space should function and how it should feel. We take the time to learn about:

    • How you plan to use your space

    Your practical requirements and design preferences


    Your day-to-day habits and personal aesthetic


    The behaviours, workflows, and culture of your team (for commercial projects)

    We also outline key considerations early — including budgets, limitations, and timelines — so the project begins with direction that is both inspiring and achievable.


  • The Concept

    Drawing from our initial discussions, we develop a concept that captures the intent of your project. This may include:


    • Floor plans and spatial options
    • Visual layouts and imagery
    • Mood boards and design direction
    • Proposed materials, fabrics, and finishes
    • Furniture and joinery suggestions
    • Consideration of any structural changes.

    The concept stage gives you a clear picture of how the space can evolve, setting the foundation for informed decision-making.


  • The Final Details

    As the design progresses, we refine each element to ensure accuracy, cohesion, and practicality. During this stage, we:


    • Adjust the design where required
    • Resolve selections and finishes
    • Develop design details
    • Prepare drawings and documentation needed for the next phase

    You will receive a complete design package, including architectural drawings and material specifications, ready for approval.


  • The Build

    Once the design is finalised, you can choose how you would like to proceed:


    Option 1 — Receive the final design package

    You may hand the documentation over to your chosen builder or project team.


    Option 2 — Engage us to support or manage the build


    For clients who prefer ongoing support, we offer involvement during the construction stage. This may include:

    • Liaising with contractors and suppliers
    • Helping maintain alignment between design intent and onsite execution
    • Supporting timeframes, budgets, and decisions as the project progresses
    • Assisting in resolving any challenges that arise along the way

    Our role is to help ensure that the final outcome reflects the design direction you approved.
